About Kafrelsheikh University
Kafrelsheikh University was founded through Presidential Decree No. 129 on April 19, 2006. The history of Kafrelsheikh University goes back to the establishment of the Higher Agricultural Institute in Kafr El-Sheikh in 1957. It was first affiliated to Alexandria University in 1969 and then Tanta University in 1973.
Currently, KSU consists of 19 faculties and 3 graduate research centers, accommodating more than 69,000 undergraduates and 11,000 postgraduates in various fields. The institution runs its operations on two campuses offering courses from faculties of Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Nursing, Physical Therapy, Engineering, Agriculture, Science, Arts, Commerce and others. KSU facilities include a 400-bed capacity and seven floor teaching hospital, accommodating 1,000 patients per day, as well as modern labs, simulation centers and green campus spaces in the Nile Delta region.
