About Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University

KRSU was established on September 28, 1993, under the Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation (signed in Moscow, June 10, 1992). The university was later named after the first President of the Russian Federation, Boris Nikolayevich Yeltsin, in 2004 by a Presidential Decree — honouring his pivotal role in its founding.
