About Fergana Medical Institute of Public Health
The Fergana Medical Institute of Public Health (FMIPH) came into being in 1991 as a medical center under the umbrella of the Fergana State University. With the passage of an executive decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 1998, this medical center became the Fergana branch of the Tashkent State Second Medical Institute and subsequently developed into an independent government medical university.
At present, FMIPH has 19 academic departments and over 147 skilled professors working for them, educating thousands of students both local and foreign. FMIPH provides education in such subjects as General Medicine, Preventive Medicine, Higher Nursing, Traditional Medicine, Biomedical Engineering, and Medical Pedagogy. FMIPH provides its students with the opportunity to study in a brand-new campus situated in the middle of Fergana city, simulation laboratories, research laboratories, and 14+ affiliated teaching hospitals having a total of 3,000 beds..
